“Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him.” Matthew 6:8 (NIV)

“Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.” James 1:17 (NIV)

Last week it was hot! Where I live the average temperature was over 100! Eli and I came home last Friday to find that our air conditioning broke! It was pushing 90 degrees in our house. We were not there for very long, I literally was sweating just walking from one room of the house to the other. I decided we would just go walk around Target while we waited on Chase to get home so that we could have some cool air, and it was only about an hour and half we would have till he would be home. Once Chase was home we packed up and went to my parents house for the weekend while we waited for the air conditioning to be fixed. Well it got fixed…. after we had to buy a new unit! Trust me that was not what we wanted to spend our money on. Both Chase and I were a little frustrated about it. However, we were looking forward to having a unit that actually worked and did not require Chase having to mess with it every couple of weeks. Despite my frustration though I was grateful that the unit was getting replaced on the weekend. Luckily there was a cancellation and we were able to get it replaced yesterday instead of waiting until Wednesday. By the time we got home last night it had already dropped ten degrees in our house and it actually felt comfortable. This morning we woke up to a wonderful 70 degrees in the house! Amazing! This morning I have found myself extremely thankful for air conditioning… and one that works! I also found myself thankful that God provides for our needs! We were not sure how the car situation was going to work staying at my parents house so Chase could go to work. God provided for our needs so we wouldn’t have to worry about that. He also knew this would be coming and we had some money set aside that apparently we will now be using for this. God knows our every need and He provides! I am so thankful that He knows ahead of time what I will need before I even know!
