“Sing praises to God, sing praises; sing praises to our King, sing praises.” Psalm 47:6 (NIV)

When I am looking for worship song music videos I absolutely love when I find ones like this. When the band is playing in a concert and everyone is singing and worshiping along with them it is just beautiful. It doesn’t matter if you’re not as good of a singer as the band, when everyone is all worshiping together its a beautiful glimpse of heaven. Every voice comes together with joy and sings to God and He is given all the glory!

Marvelous Light by Charlie Hall

Verse 1
I once was fatherless,
a stranger with no hope;
Your kindness wakened me,
Awakened me, from my sleep

Verse 2
Your love it beckons deeply,
a call to come and die.
By grace now I will come
And take this life, take your life.

Pre-chorus
Sin has lost it’s power,
death has lost it’s sting.
From the grave you’ve risen
VICTORIOUSLY!

Chorus
Into marvelous light I’m running,
Out of darkness, out of shame.
By the cross you are the truth,
You are the life, you are the way

Verse 3
My dead heart now is beating,
My deepest stains now clean.
Your breath fills up my lungs.
Now I’m free. now I’m free!

Bridge
Lift my hands and spin around,
See the light that i have found.
Oh the marvelous light
Marvelous light

Lift my hands and spin
See the light within…

“Worship the Lord with gladness; come before him with joyful songs.” Psalm 100:2 (NIV)

The Sound of Melodies by Leeland easily became my husband and I’s favorite worship song a few years ago after we got their CD. We had the CD on constant repeat for weeks, probably longer. There is something about this song in particular, it fills me with complete joy! I love how it talks about the melody rising up to God. I am absolutely not a singer, yet God still loves to hear the sound of my voice rising up to Him, how amazing that is! I love the last verse where it talks about His love filling us, His love is truly amazing!

Sound of Melodies by Leeland

We who were called to be Your people
Struggling sinners and thieves
We’re lifted up from the ashes
And out came the song of the redeemed
The song of the redeemed
The song of the redeemed

Can you hear the sound of melodies
Oh, the sound of melodies
Rising up to You
Rising up to You, God
The sound of melodies
Oh, the sound of melodies
Rising up to You
Rising up to You, God

We have caught a revelation
That nothing can separate us from
The love we received through salvation
It fills your daughters and your sons
Your daughters and your sons

The sound of Your love
The sound of Your love
Is what You’re hearing
The sound of Your sons
The sound of Your sons
You’ve won Your children
The sound of Your love
The sound of Your love
Is what You’re hearing
Your daughters in love
Your daughters in love
You’ve won your children

The sound of melodies
Oh, the sound of melodies
Rising up to You
Rising up to You, God

Today’s post is featuring a guest blogger, one of my family members, Paige. She has her own blog as well where she shares her thoughts and beautiful photos, check it out! She is pregnant with her first child, Mason who will be making his arrival this week… technically tomorrow if inducing goes according to plan. Today she is sharing her thoughts about becoming a mom. Enjoy!

For those about to become a mother:

In about 2 days, I am going to be the proudest mom to an amazing little baby boy. The thoughts and feelings that go through your head when you know your baby is coming soon are interesting to say the least. You feel scared, excited, nervous, anxious, and deliriously happy all at the same time. You start asking yourself questions such as,  “Are going to be a good enough mother,” “Are you really ready for this,” “Is my baby going to be a fussy baby or a happy one?” Eventually you have to start pulling yourself together and realize that everything is going to be okay. You will make mistakes, but will learn from those mistakes and they will only make you stronger and better. God gave us the blessing of children. He knows what is best for us and knows how to make us stronger. I believe children make us into better people and help us grow.  Also remember that children are a blessing and praise God for this amazing gift that he has given you.

“Children are a heritage from the LORD, offspring a reward from him. Like arrows in the hands of a warrior are children born in one’s youth.” – Psalm 127:3-4 (NIV)

20110613-114338.jpg“Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power.” Ephesians 6:10 (NIV)

“I can do all this through him who gives me strength.” Philippians 4:13 (NIV)

Last week I woke up one morning with all the symptoms of a sprained wrist. I have no idea what I did but some how it was sprained. Believe me it feels pretty ridiculous to tell people you have no clue how you got your sprained wrist. It has been pretty interesting trying to figure out how to do laundry, stuff cloth diapers, change diapers and hold Eli all with a sprained wrist. I probably do more than I should, like type every day. It is amazing how you realize just how much you do with a hand once it is hurt and each movement gives you pain. But, some how I manage. Despite my wrist things still have to get done, diapers need changing, laundry needs to get done and so on. That is just how life works. I could let it all get to me, let the pain overwhelm me and get stressed out each time I try to do something that doesn’t end up going very smoothly. Or, I can trust that everything will be okay, find my strength in God to get through the difficult tasks that come with this sprain. Now, I am not saying that because I lean on God that instantly the pain of my wrist will be gone. What I am saying is that I have to make a choice to either dwell on my wrist or seek God for His strength to accomplish all that I need to do. My wrist will probably continue to hurt until it is healed, but God will help me through it all!

“Glorious and majestic are his deeds, and his righteousness endures forever.” Psalm 111:3 (NIV)

“Sing to the Lord, for he has done glorious things; let this be known to all the world.” Isaiah 12:5 (NIV)

This is a beautiful worship song. What I love about it is how it talks about the true magnificent glory of our God and then goes on to say that we are His. For me, this really puts it into perspective just how much He loves us. Our God is so great, so magnificent and glorious and He has this amazing love for each of us! Wow! If haven’t heard this song really listen to the words and feel the joy that comes from proclaiming how glorious He is!

Everything Glorious by The David Crowder Band

The day is brighter here with You
The night is lighter than its hue
Would lead me to believe
Which leads me to believe

(chorus)
You make everything glorious
You make everything glorious
You make everything glorious
And I am Yours
What does that make me?

My eyes are small but they have seen
the beauty of enormous things
Which leads me to believe
there’s light enough to see that

(chorus)
You make everything glorious
You make everything glorious
You make everything glorious
And I am Yours

From glory to glory
You are glorious You are glorious
From glory to glory
You are glorious. You are glorious
Which leads me to believe
why I can believe

You make everything glorious
You make everything glorious
You make everything glorious
And I am Yours
You make everything glorious
You make everything glorious
You make everything glorious
And I am Yours

From glory to glory From glory to glory
You are glorious. You are glorious.
You are glorious. You are glorious.
