“Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God—” John 1:12 (NIV)

This is such a great song, Eli and I have listened to it several times this morning. I love singing along to it because it puts me in such a great mood. No matter what kind of a day you might be having you are loved by God and that surpasses any trials we might face! I am God’s child so He is with me in all things!  Remember who you are in Christ!

Remind Me Who I Am by Jason Gray

Verse 1:
When I lose My way,
And I forget my name,
Remind me who I am.
In the mirror all I see,
Is who I don’t wanna be,
Remind me who I am.
In the lonliest places,
When I can’t remember what grace is.

Chorus:
Tell me once again who I am to you.
Who I am to you.
Tell me lest I forget who I am to you.
That I belong to you.
To you.

Verse 2:
When my heart is like a stone,
And I’m running far from home,
Remind me who I am.
When I can’t recieve your love,
Afraid I’ll never be enough,
Remind me who I am.
If I’m your beloved,
Can you help me believe it.

Chorus:
Tell me once again who I am to you.
Who I am to you, Woh.
Tell me lest I forget who I am to you.
That I belong to you.
To you.

Bridge:
I’m the one you love,
I’m the one you love,
That will be enough,
I’m the one you love.

Chorus:2x
Tell me once again who I am to you.
Who I am to you.
Tell me lest I forget who I am to you.
That I belong to you, Woh.
To you.3x

“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9 (NIV)

The worship song I picked for today by Gungor is You Have Me and not only is the song absolutely beautiful but so is the meaning behind it. Life can be a bumpy road sometimes but God never leaves us, He is always there holding onto us. I love the chorus how it talks about God is always faithful and good, we can always count on Him!

You Have Me by Gungor

[verse:]
Out on the farthest edge
There in the silence you were there
My faith was torn to shreds
My heart out of balance
And you were there

[chorus:]
Always faithful
Always good
You still
Have me
You still have my heart

[verse:]
I thought I had seen the end everything broken
But you were there
I’ve wandered at Heaven’s gate
I’ve made my bed in Hell
But you were there still

[chorus]

You have me
You have me
You have my heart completely (6x)

Well it has been awhile since I have done a regular Worship Song Friday, with Christmas each Friday was a Christmas song and then with all the traveling and family time we had it just has been awhile. I absolutely LOVE this song! It is so beautiful I can’t help but to sing along and worship my God every time I hear it! It’s a great reminder of the beautiful love story we have with Jesus!

Divine Romance by Phil Wickham

The fullness of Your grace is here with me
The richness of Your beauty’s all I see
The brightness of Your glory has arrived
In Your presence God, I’m completely satisfied

For You I sing I dance
Rejoice in this divine romance
Lift my heart and my hands
To show my love, to show my love

A deep deep flood, an Ocean flows from You
Of deep deep love, yeah it’s filling up the room
Your innocent blood, has washed my guilty life
In Your presence God I’m completely satisfied

Wow, Christmas is Sunday! This will be my last post before Christmas. What better way to end this week than with the last of the Christmas worship songs?!? Today I found a song done by the OKC campus of LifeChurch.tv last Christmas. It is a great version of the song, I hope you enjoy it! Merry Christmas everyone!

Go Tell It On The Mountain by LifeChurch.tv

We sing this song every year at my church during the Christmas services. I love this song! It is a great example that the heart behind the gift is what truly matters, not the gift itself. One of the lines in the song mentions that the boy has no gift to bring, so the he plays his drum. The heart behind the gift is what truly matters, I believe that to be so for gifts we give to each other as well as the gift we give God when we worship Him. If our heart isn’t there then it doesn’t really matter what gift we are bringing.

Little Drummer Boy by Jars of Clay

Come, they told me (pa-rum-pa-pum-pum)
A newborn king to see (pa-rum-pa-pum-pum)
Our finest gifts we bring (pa-rum-pa-pum-pum)
To lay before the king (pa-rum-pa-pum-pum) [x3]
So, to honor Him (pa-rum-pa-pum-pum)
When we come

Little baby (pa-rum-pa-pum-pum)
I am a poor boy too (pa-rum-pa-pum-pum)
I have no gifts to bring (pa-rum-pa-pum-pum)
That’s fit to give a king (pa-rum-pa-pum-pum) [x3]
Shall I play for you (pa-rum-pa-pum-pum)
On my drum?

Mary nodded (pa-rum-pa-pum-pum)
The ox and lamb kept time (pa-rum-pa-pum-pum)
I played my drum for Him (pa-rum-pa-pum-pum)
I played my best for Him (pa-rum-pa-pum-pum) [x3]
Then, He smiled at me (pa-rum-pa-pum-pum)
Me and my drum
